Patak Trading

Quote from Maverick74:

The parameters are the same regardless of when you trade. Some people actually exclusively trade the overnight sessions.

One account is not easier or harder but make sure you look at the math. The different account sizes have different percent return objectives. I believe the 10 day require a much higher return vs the 20 day.

Why would you want to daytrade commodity options?

You do know you get risk based span margin on those products right?

TST is intra-day trading only.

Span margin allows one more then enough leverage in a retail account.

Hi Maverick,

Thanks for your posts, which sound reasonable to me.

I agree, that it sound's like a good deal for new traders who are confident in their trading abilities and want to supplement their own trading or do not have yet enough capital, and who for whatever reason are not in the position to get a job at the big prop firms.

The requirements are tough, but that makes sense as they do fund some unknown traders over the internet. But they are achievable IMO.

I might try it out in the next weeks.

Regards,
k

PS: Do you know of other firms offering similar opportunities for remote futures traders.

Sure. Here is a similar firm.

http://indexelite.com/

We discussed them briefly on another thread.

I have no affiliation with this one either.

A warning K, TST has no employment information. They also charge a chunk of money-$350 for their largest sim account. Do not break the rules or they might not refund it.

Indexelite is new to me but looking much better.

Hi Colonial,

What do you mean by "no employment information"?

I will definitely look into Indexelite as well. Just went through their website. They are more expensive and there is not much info about their requirements. But there is the possibility to ask questions in a chat. Will do that when I have more time.

k
