Quote from bigdavediode:
Everybody has a stake in the Federal Government. The fact that 40% have no federal tax liability is partially because the Republicans have allowed massive income disparity.
Huh? What does disparity have to do with it? Nothing. Explain how.
You're wrong there. First off the conservatives in Canada are a minority government, secondly they are about as left as the Democrats are in the US.
You don't seriously think that the US is moving left of Canada, the UK and France.
You're the one who is wrong. Polls indicate the Conservatives will hold over 180 seats after the 10/14 election. A decisive majority. http://www.canada.com/ottawacitizen/news/story.html?id=4912918a-6b40-4bdc-83bb-648cc47429aa
Here's whats going on in the U.K. Read it and weap.

How about a subsidizing a Mexican kid who winds up running for the Republican nomination for president?
How about sending that Mexican kid to the school of his choice at a reasonable cost instead of creating segregated public schools. The CPS is 11% non Latino white. Male blacks drop out at 55%. Liberals bitched about the need for forced integration through busing and they got their wish. They created urban, public schools so dangerous that there's now no whites schools left to integrate with. Taxpaying white families have voted with their feet. To the suburbs they go. The emerging revolution can already be sensed. Wealthy empty nesters and the gays who've made up the slack in developing the ânewâ cities are FREAKING OUT about paying excessive education taxes when they themselves are childless. Perhaps Sen. Change can institute a Federal tax for education. I'm sure folks in Iowa would be stoked to help pay the 80K salary of an illiterate Detroit teacher.
Most cities are not actually broke.
A bullshit, parched Obama lawyer response. And you wonder why plain speaking Palin is killing you. No the cities
themselves aren't broke. Only their school systems, transit authorities and public employee pension systems. [/b]
I'm sorry, but in my opinion the Republicans have nothing to do with conservatism.
Opinions are like assholes...
