vaccine doesn't prevent you from catching the virus. It's just a means to upstart the immune system for more effective response when you do catch it. The whole point is it helps prevent hospitalizations in compromised individuals.

And apparently you are not supposed to be able to transmit the virus to others either if you are fully vaccinated so also quite baffled why they still need to be quarantined. But then again that might depend on which vaccine you get. With some vaccines, the effectiveness is lower especially for asymptomatic and mild cases.
Would be most interested to know which vaccines the 2 people who are tested positive for covid received, if they are willing to disclose this information.
Dr, Fauci said you don't have to wear mask anymore after vaccination. So, it means you are no longer transmissible and no longer getting the virus.

No person with a basic knowledge in science could ever say that one person who's had vaccine will not carry or transmit a virus.

A cruise ship with an estimated 800 positive COVID-19 cases on board is set to dock in Sydney at 6am on Saturday.
About 3300 guests and 1300 crew members on the Majestic Princess cruise ship will disembark at Sydney Harbour following a 12-day cruise to New Zealand.
About 4600 people will arrive in Sydney aboard the Majestic Princess on Saturday.
However, a Princess Cruises spokesperson said guests with COVID – who were all “mildly symptomatic or asymptomatic” – would isolate in their rooms on board the vessel before disembarking.
“Guests who have not been impacted are wearing masks and this will continue when they disembark,” the spokesperson said.
Guests will travel on to their chosen destinations via private transport arranged by the company.
NSW Health has classified the Majestic Princess as a “high impact” or “tier-three” vessel — the highest classification in its tier system. That means there are 100 or more positive cases per 1000 people on board, or that the vessel is unable to maintain critical services because of staffing or resource shortages.
Passengers disembarking will need to adhere to NSW Health guidelines. These include wearing a mask and maintaining a 1.5-metre distance from people not in their travel group.
All passengers and crew required negative COVID tests before joining the ship, and passengers over the age of 12 and crew needed to be fully vaccinated.
Cruise ships were stopped from entering Australian waters in March 2020 to curb the impacts of COVID-19, but that restriction was lifted in April. Ships are still required to report COVID-19 cases and status updates to NSW Health.
