Passed the SMB Futures tryout in 15 days

The fact that these places have "sales" is about all you need to know. I don't know about the firm that jumped into this thread, but think about it people. Seriously?!?

"We are looking to fund traders, and give them 80 percent of the gains. In fact, we are so interested that we are willing to have a sale on the cost of doing this."

If it looks to good to be true, well it probably is. There are real firms out there, but you need a track record. What is it about trading that people think they can run a multi million dollar business with an entry fee of $300?

It's true, we have promotions. We're going to have another promotion next month. If the promotion is within reason, why would it call into question whether the business is legitimate or not? Automotive companies have promotions, luxury clothing companies have promotions, airlines have promotions, platform providers have promotions, data feed providers have promotions, brokerages have promotions, restaurants have promotions, plumbers, welders and other service companies discount their pricing. Is it really about the promotion, or do you think it's just ridiculous for our niche segment to offer them?

The whole thing is ridiculous.

Nice counter argument.

In my opinion it definitely makes sense to do promotions like these. There are a few other companies out there offering almost the same stuff for the same price, so making sure they are cheaper with a discount can attract some business over from the competition who are not offering discounts.

The whole thing is ridiculous.

Right, I had the impression your statement was more directed at the nature of the business model then promotions in general. This month alone over 100 retail traders have been funded through our company. You are entitled to your opinion but we don’t think there’s anything ridiculous about that.

Hey ET2 I have a question about helios feed vs data feed. If someone has their own data feed for charting and choose helios feed to execute what is the platform they let you use to execute ? or is a custom web interface somesorts ?

You can use any platform that connects to Rithmic.

Unrelated to this question but related to the main discussion in the thread.... at times like these, the benefits of trading for a prop firm shine. "Oh I'll pull $2000 and go open an AMP account " doesnt work anymore.

Currently its 3K margin for a single ES contract with AMP. LOL!

Thanks E2T.

It's truly crazy how large the margins are getting.
