Still, the motivation here is tribal, in the broadest sense of people feeling a higher loyalty to their particular identity group than to the law or society as a whole. Clealry it is not soley an African phenomenon. it is a big problem in the middle east and asia, and as the film shows, was a factor in our own society.
Tribalism is inconsistent with a progressive, pluralistic society, and it is despicable for the media and liberals to try to foment it or exploit it.
Shawn Tyson called his half brother from prison saying police had found bullet casings connected to the shooting, the Florida courtroom heard today.
Here is Tyson's recorded telephone conversation with his half brother, who has not been named, from Sarasota County Jail

Brother: 'What's up, lil' man?'
Tyson: 'S***.'
Brother: 'What them crackers talkin' about?'
