Paper trading

Quote from Lamont_C:

There will be failures throughout, almost from the beginning. The key is to avoid debilitating failures and stay in the game. But continuing to throw oneself against the glass and hope for the best is not likely to be a productive course.

Too much analysis can lead to debilitating paralysis too. Nonetheless, you're right to try and convince him, I hope he listens to you.

open a live account with a few thousand dollars.

try your logic @ ie in stock with 100shares, now you have real time executions and data. Once your are successful as quoted increase with comfort. It is not about the money but the trade.

All education costs money. This limits your tution to a few hundred/thousand dollars. A small amount for a career if your choose it.

good luck, if you do move forward please let us know how you do with your success rate of the trades, not interested in the revenue generated.

good luck
