Palin Email Account Hacked

To all you wingnuts up in arms about Palin's email getting "hacked," her email was not "hacked." Hacking a computer requires at least some skills. Accessing Palin's email account (without authorization), albeit illegal, required absolutely no skill.

All it took was to answer these two questions:
What is your birthday?
2/11/64
What is your ZIP code?
99687

So don't insult hackers by calling it hacking. Palin left the door wide open and someone trespassed.

This has been discussed extensively on slashdot. It's apparent to anyone who has any clue, that Palin is computer illiterate, just like McCain is.

Why was that all that was needed? Didn't the account have a password?

That was the bypass on yahoo email in case you forget your password. Anyone who uses one of these free email accounts should not expect privacy, really.

And to use that for government business, as Palin did, also violates the law.

She didn't but you guys are perverting everything. Even if she had, that's an insignificant administrative detail. While, the people who did this disgusting thing violated the law wrt her privacy and will be hunted down by the authorities.

No its not, its at the very least stupid and possibly criminal. Conducting government business from a private email account is not allowed, you are only allowed to use the govt issued email accounts which are saved, tracked etc. Your not allowed to use personal emails for public business.

The dim-o-crats, as usual, are lost figuring out how to capitalize on this.

these dim-wits should be calling for Palin to be drawn and quartered.

conducting govt. business via personal email is a criminal activity. She should be jailed, at the very least.

Where's the republican outrage at her treasonous activities?!

If a crime was committed, law enforcement will take care of it.

If it requires depositions, then whoever got into the email account can just hire the lawyers who are keeping Palin and her husband (who have nothing to hide, right?) from testifying, just like the lawyers are doing in Palingate so as to prevent the corruption from coming out before the election.

I always get a kick out of the republicunts and their "law and order" crap, because when law and order is to be applied to them, they weasel out of it any way possible.

Anyone remember how the republicunts said Scooter Libby was innocent of any wrong doing?

It's kind of low to go prying into her e-mail account if they were looking for private correspondence.

But if she was using a public account for gov't business that is not so great either. As I recall, there was a problem with gov't business e-mails that were lost because private accounts were used by White House staff.

Also, I think e-mails are legally treated like postcards - so sending what might be private gov't correspondence through a public account isn't too smart.
