Palestine - A Land that Does not Belong to Islam

The first large-scale assaults began on January 9, 1948, when approximately 1,000 Arabs attacked Jewish communities in northern Palestine.

Early in the war, from November 29, 1947 until April 1, 1948, the Palestinian Arabs took the offensive, with help from volunteers from neighboring countries. The Jews suffered severe casualties and passage along most of their major roadways was disrupted. Starting in April 1948, the Haganah took the initiative, and in six weeks was able to turn the tables

From mid-May to mid-July, the critical phase of the war, came the simultaneous, coordinated assault on the new State of Israel by five regular Arab armies from neighboring countries (Egypt, Syria, Transjordan, Lebanon and Iraq), with an overwhelming superiority of heavy equipment - armor, artillery and airforce.

On April 26, 1948, Transjordan's King Abdullah said:

* [A]ll our efforts to find a peaceful solution to the Palestine problem have failed. The only way left for us is war. I will have the pleasure and honor to save Palestine.

On May 4, 1948, the Arab Legion attacked Kfar Etzion. The defenders drove them back, but the Legion returned a week later. After two days, the ill-equipped and outnumbered settlers were overwhelmed. Many defenders were massacred by the Arabs after they had surrendered.

The UN blamed the Arabs for the violence. On February 16, 1948, the Commission reported to the Security Council:

* Powerful Arab interests, both inside and outside Palestine, are defying the resolution of the General Assembly and are engaged in a deliberate effort to alter by force the settlement envisaged therein.

Immediately following the declaration of the State of Israel on May 14, 1948 and the departure of the British the next day, the five Arab armies invaded Israel. Their intentions were declared by Azzam Pasha, Secretary-General of the Arab League:

This will be a war of extermination and a momentous massacre which will be spoken of like the Mongolian massacres and the Crusades.

Bombs kill 55 in Baghdad shopping district

BAGHDAD, Mar. 6, 2008 (Reuters) — Two coordinated bomb blasts killed 55 people in a crowded Baghdad shopping area on Thursday. Police said a roadside bomb exploded on a street in the central Karrada district where vendors gather to sell their wares and which many people visit on a Thursday at the start of the Muslim weekend.

Minutes later, after Iraqi security forces and other people had gathered following the initial blast, a suicide bomber detonated a second larger device, police said.

Very good question. Even though that all of the Palestinians who were ethnically cleansed, and ended up living in refugee camps, 30 kilometers from where their homes and farms stood, Have their land deeds, I consider the people who belong to any land are the people who gave and took from the land, lived through good and bad on that land, know the land as they know their own children, respected the land as if it was their own children and could point to you where his great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great grandparents are buried. After a long long long long while....you will start looking like the land you have inhabited and by looking at you, people will be able to roughly tell you that you look like you came from that land.

Grandfathered in? How many grandfathers exactly?

Hard to believe this conflict has not been settled with so much good will on both sides.

My first good laugh of the day.

Thank you. :p

So, if Abraham's grave was discovered in Hebron, and someone points at it, what would that mean?

Someone farts in Palestine, and the AP wire goes nuts. Every AP journalist with Middle Eastern last names are free to monopolize the wire so everybody in the West knows someone in Palestine is wailing... again. Who cares? Nobody cares. But still they try to make Westerners feel guilty. God knows they all keep trying.

And by the way, Palestine belongs to Islam because Islam owns its people

Arciolagists are now debating the idea that the Father of Arabs and Jews was a tribe as apposed to a person.

If that is true; it will be the biggest joke in the hitory of the pathatic mankind.

Like the tribe of Abraham or something?

Like the tribe of Abraham or something?

No...Like a tribe called Abraham. Others claim that he was a fictional figure with no archialogical traces aside from what was written about him in the book of Genesis.
