Hi,

Is there any software that is more suited to pair trading than Tradestation, and that has the speed for quick spread based scalps?

Last time I used IB they were in the process of creating pair trading order functionality. I think they were created from a combination box (or something like that)

do a search in the TWS userguide under advanced order types
 
Yeah, they do have combo functionality, but when you place a order, it doesn't always trigger. I had a sell limit order recently and it went right above the level set,
