Probably. The thing is, it seems like your results will be extremely volatile. Unless you have inside info, holding through earnings just seems to be a recipe for disaster at some point. How do you get comfortable with this risk?

We will have issues till the mortgage problem is over
that will not be until late 2008

Many mortgage holders still have not priced the paper in the open market therefore we have no idea what the fallout will be or will the government step in to save the day.
