Pabst Article On Yahoo Finance

Quote from Brandonf:

If you guys have been trading more than a year or two seriously how much "new" stuff is there to learn from another person. I will say that in the first year to year and a half that I traded the majority of what I learned was from other's, but past that everything was my own mistakes and putting prior lessons together. There are still things that an experienced or intermediate level trader might need to purchase, research for example, but he doesnt need to learn about technical or fundamental analysis. That's not the case with a new trader, who has much to learn, and if a person has a way to packaging the info in an easy to understand way they are offering that new trader a valuable service.
Are we to conclude, then, that the posters who were so favorably impressed with the article are new to trading?

I think it's a fair assumption to make that a good number of them are, and I assume others who are not are looking at it from the point of view of "Does it help the intended viewer" and I think if you look at it objectively you will conclude that it does.

My opinion is that there is a pattern to be observed here with the cheerleaders and the "favorably impressed" crowd again with a few exceptions. It should be fairly plain sailing to anyone who has been regularly perusing this site.

Fair enough, just as long as we understand the nature and level of the targeted audience.

Bro, I'm just about DONE with thoroughbred handicapping. I SUCK.

You had a hilarious line several months back....wait I'm going to do a search...here it is...

"At least your horses were seen on the tv. Any Given Saturday was on the screen for about 1/4 of a mile. Then went back...and back...and back."

Still laugh! :D

The horses are a tough tough game. I have a few friends who are professional bettors/cappers....tough gig.

I didnt do shit BC day....made a few bucks the day before...but didnt hit a thang on Saturday....oh well.

2 months to get ready for Gulfstream.

That's the secret sauce for the esoteric few, ostensibly.

You have a right to feel guilty. Appropriately so. If you noticed, I didn't address you in particuar, but never mind.
I did not play the race card. If you want to put words in my mouth, that is your call. I'm not going to be fazed by it. Now that you brought it up, there are some traders here that are hitler personified.

more liberal race bullshit.

That guys pulls that race card and when called out says I did not specify who and then later says race is unimportant.

Anyone pulling the race card and then says race is unimportant could only be an illogical liberal.

Whether called out or not - it makes no difference. I am not concerned about race at all not one bit. And I respect all men who have peaceful religious beliefs.

I am concerned about culture. I do consider some cultures to be better than others. Mine happens to be pretty good. All are welcome to join mine or suggest reasons why theirs is superior or worthwhile.

Now I know all you liberals are going to have a problem with that statement.

But, it is essentially what society is all about. By the way Pabst's quote is true for all people as well. Anyone with half a brain makes associations.
The question is whether the association provide an accurate road map.

You see enough of anything and sooner or later you will make generalizations. If not you would die from sitting in a fire place.
