You just don't "get it" with regards to Ferrari's I guess ;)

I do get it---- guys get them to get the girl. I never had an issue getting the girl even in my fatso current shape --- so Ferraris never interested me--- now a supercharged Bentley GT--- that's another story. LOL.

Yea, you go ahead and get all those Gold Diggers that think you actually have something. I bet they run like hell the minute you open your mouth and your wallet and see that there is nothing in either of them.

When I first started making decent money trading (and before I was married), I was considering spending money on a sweet ride but instead decided to use the money as a down payment on an apartment in the West Village. This was back in 2001. Been renting it out for years and it's appreciated quite a bit. I feel I made the right decision :)

Sure, that was smart. I'm certain you could buy more than a few vehicles with your profits. OR you could do what I do--- rather than spend 220k on a new Bentley, buy one 3 years old for $80k and invest the $140k in real estate or stocks. I haven't bought a new car since my first car out of college--- but have always driven top of the line older cars but not so old they become trouble. surf

Absolutely agree regarding cars, almost no reason to buy them new.

Quote from Swan Noir:

I'm a guy who is dead set against buying a British car (OK ... the Rolls/Bentley is the exception) but the new Jaguar seems like value if you are looking for a sports car that is not rediculously expensive. It is a good looking vehicle.

PS ... if you are an electrician you can buy British.

I believe Rolls-Royce and Bentley are actually German designed and owned and share a lot of the components with the parent company productions. Most of the old British car diseases are gone on the new ones I hear. Jaguar is Indian owned but not sure about the engineering.
Wouldn't really call European Hondas British because they're assembled there...

Otherwise I agree with you.
