Own Marketsurfer's Personal Phone

Quote from tradin4profits:

WOW, I bet you look like a Christmas tree walking down the street.....HEY , EVERYONE LOOK AT ME THE GREAT AND POWERFUL SURF!! :p

Nah, not at all. I am far from flashy or pimp like---ask anyone who knows me. if anything, I am humble and understated in appearance--- my most expensive watch is titanium and a rubber strap-- looks like its from walmart--- that's the way i like it--- those who know know. surf

PS-- just like the phone 99% of the population have not clue what it is.

Then why not buy a cheap watch from Wal-Mart (or similar store) and use the money saved on other, more important, things?

Just pretty sad if your self worth is about possessing a piece of metal with outdated electronics.

These phones prove the old saying that money doesn't buy class.

The Vertu is the kind of phone you would expect Kim Kardashian to own.

there are a number of reasons-- buy nice watches right and they at the least hold their value-- obviously not if you pay retail, but buy right and its a bank for your $$. Secondly, what you say can be applied to anything-- why not just live in a 800$ apartment and save your money or never dine out?

I think she does have several. :D

Quote from Businessman:

You at a dinner party and everyone else has a iphone 5 or an s4 and you pull this POS out. Everyone in the room would laugh at you for being such an idiot with your money.
Not unlike everyone on ET is laughing at him for being such an idiot with his money.

I hear what you are saying regarding a watch holding its value and, if you can find a buyer at the end, you essentially could have owned the watch for very little in the meantime.

But there is a big difference between taking yourself out to 5 napkin burger a few times a month and making the decision to buy 3, $4000+ watches (for example). It makes more sense to most people to spend their money on things they will actually get the most use out of or are essentials (ie your house/apt and food).

I would understand more if you preferred the watches that had a certain unique look but you said you preferred one that looks like it's from Walmart. Just because something may hold it's value, doesn't necessarily mean you should buy it (or 4). There is an opportunity cost tied up in the money you spend on expensive watches.

:D

1) I doubt even flashy pimps wear two watches
2) You are the antithesis of humble

I respect your opinion. Nothing wrong with it-----
