Overwhelming Majority Of Americans Support Gov't Health Care Even If Taxes Rise

Quote from traderdragon2:

Thats because the Overwhelming Majority Of Americans are f-ing idiots.

They will forever regret this if it gets passed.

Absolutely the worst thing that could happen in the USA.

The politicians are leading the lambs to the slaughter with the idea of "free" healthcare (with minimal tax increases).

Let me tell you what we will end up with. Absolute worthless crap healthcare and HIGH tax increases.

Do you think anyone who makes a decent living will ever depend on the shit service the government will provide? Is anyone freakin stupid enough to believe the "efficient" US govt. could provide a good health care system with all the politicians, lawyers, doctors and insurance companies all fighting for a piece of the stupid tax payer pie???

I will end up paying higher taxes AND paying for my own private healthcare which will actualy take care of me instead of sticking me in a 6 month wait list for a simple procedure.

F*** Hillary and any idiot who supports this. We will all regret it. Anyone who supports this gets automatically voted against by me and any sane individual that knows whats really going on.

Absolutely no factual info in there at all. Just a spew.

Congrats.

Does anyone here think we don't already have a government funded health care program, funded by tax dollars?

We do in large part, and it's extraordinarily inefficient in that it is structured to treat, rather than prevent, disease, mainly because that's the way that for-profit companies want it.

We could have a much more efficient for-profit health care industry if the government used a carrot and stick approach in its regulatory approach, rewarding prevention and cutting back on payment for bloated after-the-fact treatment.

Who the hell do you think pays for at least 60% (at minimum) of all medications dispensed at all pharmacies, or an equal proportion of stent procedures?

The next time you're at the pharmacy, pull the pharmacist or a tech aside, and ask them what % of prescriptions the government pays for.

There is no mystery here. Americans are fat because they are gluttons. They eat too much, too often, too much crap and they dont exercise. Shocking is it?

Worse yet, they are stupid enough to believe their government could provide them a good healthcare system for a "small tax hike"

Absolutely no brains cells between your ears at all. Lack of brain.

Show me a single US govt program that has been run efficiently.

FACT: The US govt sucks shit at running things well. Do you really need someone to explain the obvious to you?

Socialism isnt the answer.

While I understand your preoccupation with obesity, that just shows the level of complacency the current system has engendered.

Go to India or any other third world country and see what disease -- not being a pig -- does. I promise you obesity is not the reason why spending tax money on public health care is a really good idea.

We are NOT spending money on public health care...we would be spending money on INSURANCE for health care....

when you pay 200.00 a month for car insurance, does that improve the horsepower of the car? Of course not....its in the event that something happens....

Personally,

I think universal health care is a great idea. I had it in the UK for a few years and it was fine.

If you want private health care then go pay for it as you do now. I don't think anyone else would mind. :)

Socialized medicine is ok so long as I don't have to pay for it and you have the option of participating.

I have no problem with the private organizations forming "clubs" whose membership fees go to pay for all other member's health care services and prescription drugs. Just keep the government out of it and let the private sector find ways of reducing costs through competition. Next time you go to the hospital for some procedure ask for the “cash price” and the “insured” price. (Note do not tell them you have insurance before asking for the cash price of a service). You’ll be amazed at the difference of some of the services.

Socialism isnt the answer.

Take your pick:

National Parks, Conservation Corps, Corps of Engineers, Interstate Highway system, CDC, TVA, Air Traffic Control, NASA, etc...

There are plenty of examples of great things the government has achieved at a reasonable cost. Remember, one of the purposes of government -- or insurance for that matter -- is to take on risk that any one individual or group of individuals is incapable of handling.

The type of folks who think they are entitled to take 5 smoking breaks a day will support this all the way because they feel the system should provide for it, but the smoking has clouded their intellectual abilities to realize how screwed this idea really is.
