Overnight gone?

This is the tragic consequence of broken families, single family homes, and homes without ONE dad and ONE mom. Speaking of averages of course. There is shit going on in some families with mom and dad and there are a few kids growing up with two trans parents who do everything right. But the average clearly points to the need of a healthy family structure with a mom and dad. The fuckup we see today in many kids and even their young parents is a direct result of a disturbed traditional family structure. Every psychologist and psychiatrist worth his or her salt confirms that.

That's not what liberals want to hear but I cannot care less. This is the truth and fact, I am just the messenger.

To a large degree the current gig economy is responsible for this trend. Traditionally, one single income earner was enough to make ends meet for a family. Then we needed two income earners. Nowadays 1 in 3 employed have two jobs and 57% of respondents of a recent poll would consider a second. Now tell me how neglected kids, depression, mental illness, alcohol and drug addiction is not directly related to this trend. And why are two incomes not enough anymore? Because of our economic policies of free wheeling capitalism where the few that hold all the power in their hands squeeze out ever increasing profit margins for corporations and pay their employees wages that don't keep pace with the cost of living. In fact many companies convert more and more of their full time jobs into part time or temporary gig economy jobs. No wonder this fucks up an entire generation or two. There are consequences to our actions. As long as society buys into the lies of free wheeling corporations many of which are hardly if at all regulated this trend will only continue and completely destroy our society. Look how the FTC head is slowly but surely slaughtered and destroyed because she tried to reign in corporations. The powers at the wheel can't let controls and regulations happen, it would interfere with accumulating couple trillions more in profit for the elites in short order.
Politicians turned housing into a casino, where prices are now out of reach to most.
Housing has sapped money out of everyone, especially those lower down the ladder.
But politicians pretend theyre not responsible, you'll notice one very clear trait, their silence over the whole matter.
Politicians screwed up big time, but they keep quiet because they don't want to get involved, it hurts them personally to change the status quo.
They want people to believe builders are at fault, or global inflation not caused by them, or investors are at fault, or banks or Realestate agents, or pricey building materials, or local government or lack of land, ANYTHING but them.
There seemed to be a tremendous amount of Investment property ownership amoungst our Pollies. I've also read about alleged ties between Politicians and property developers, whether true or not I'm unsure.
Let Inflation rip seems to be the mantra.

Imo it has less to do with economic or housing circumstances than with parent's mentality and parenting skills when dealing with children. This lack of respect for authority and the entitlement attitude from children does not just show up in children of middle-class or working-class parents when they have so little time to spend with their kids due to their work commitments and etc. (although carving time out for kids is a personal choice and is really not a factor of the amount of work commitments) but is a problem among children across all social and/or economic classes so money has very little to do with it.

Today's parents somehow have this absurd notion that children are very fragile physically and psychologically; disciplining them would result in them either being scarred for life or needing therapy for the rest of their lives. LOL No the only ways that children are scarred for life and need therapy for the rest of their lives is if they are 1) abused and/or 2) neglected. Disciplining them to show them right from wrong just sets them on the right path for the rest of their lives and children will thank you for it later on in their lives. They might hate it now when you discipline them but one day they will understand you did it with love and you did it for them not for you. You are not supposed to be their friend; that comes later when they become adults and are responsible for their lives then you can become their friend. Now you are their parents and parents tell them what to do. Immigrant parents understand this perfectly and immigrant children all grow up to be law-abiding citizens, productive and contributing members of society and amazingly actually develop much closer ties with their parents. It's only the North American-born parents who are just afraid of touching their children and their children all become unruly, entitled, insecure and lost.

The fact that you think that that sort of behavior "does not belong here" is a kinda' "woke" mentality that people cannot take a bruising. It is why kids today have no backbone and do not stand up for themselves.

It's not me who thinks his shitty behaviour does not belong here. It's the Terms of Rules of this forum site that stipulated that his behaviour does not belong here. Has nothing to do with "woke" culture. But while we are on the topic of "woke" culture, got something for ya. You will like this.

My entire post was on child neglect due to absent parents, glad we agree on this.

No your entire post was on how child neglect by absent parents was due to economic reasons because parents have to work to make ends meet and if we just give more money to the parents that they would all spend more time with the kids. What I am saying is spending time with children and parenting them properly is more of an issue of attitudes and personal choice and has less to do with money. Rich people who have money coming out of their ying yang are still choosing to spend time on themselves instead of their children and not parenting them right while immigrant parents who are generally of more modest means and have to work more still find the time to spend with their children and parent their children properly.

Bottom line: Money is not the answer and is definitely not the only answer as in all cases.

That only is possible to a very small degree. When parents are constantly absent then no matter the attitude, children will lose out.

We can all agree on that being buddies with kids is a poor way of parenting and on the other end of the spectrum constantly yelling or physically disciplining kids is equally bad. Everyone agrees on that. Yet millions of kids are still neglected even by parents who exercise a healthy dose of discipline. Absence is the number one factor why children miss out on observing and learning from good role models, first and foremost parents. It's not like kids in conservative homes get such a better upbringing than kids in liberal homes. Hence, we need to search for factors that are shared across the political spectrum.

The solution and answer is parents who are present to answer questions of their kids, spend time on monitoring homework, correcting mistakes, developing interests and passions. Absent parents can't do that, no matter the intent or agreed behavior towards communication and discipline. Of course, parents with ample time to be with their kids also need to actually put in the work, that is an assumption. But the necessary variable "availability" of parents is already missing, hence my argument that we need to first adjust this to allow for time at home with kids.

What are we getting at here? That @Overnight shoulda been disciplined more? I'm sure Overnight copped his far share of beltings as a kid. He didn't turn out too bad. He's alright, bit grumpy at times, bit of Manlove for other Men at times, but he's OK :)

The common factor is parents just need to make time for kids. That's it, NOT having more money.

You are an idiot. The reason parents don't have time is because they have two, three, or even four jobs between the spouses. Most young parents don't even have time for hobbies anymore. You still don't seem to get it. Well, I made my point, it's not for everyone to comprehend...

So how do you explain the immigrant parents who have two, three, or even four jobs between the spouses and still are able to be with the kids? How do you explain the rich parents whose one parent is even a stay-at-home mom and never has time for the kids? Making time for the kids is a choice, not a matter of money. Tomorrow you can have all the parents who are having two or three or four jobs between the spouses to win the lottery and all of sudden solved all their money problems, if they still don't want to spend time with the kids, they still won't.

This administration has already given enough handouts. Look do we have? Double-digit inflation! Don't use kids as an excuse to ask for more. That's just pathetic! You want to earn money? Get off your a$$, get off this forum and go out and earn more! The unemployment rate is 3.4%. Companies are begging people to work for them. What are you doing posting s*** on this forum when you should be working?

Not sure what koolade you have been drinking but immigrant kids, particularly from India, anywhere I live by majority are absolutely fucked and set themselves up for a life of suffering and low wage jobs with their attitudes. They simply don't care. An aimless fucked up generation as far as I can see. Not sure what article you have read about immigrant kids. What you mention is completely removed from reality.
