It was after those few pages in time that I decided on a simple buy/hold/roll strat. It has taken me a couple more years to fix it in my head. My March 2020 fail was the last straw. Follow the new plan or die.

If I had to define a worst-case scenario, it would be a 2+ year rolling bear market where every quarter the indices closed lower than the previous quarter. When was the last time that has happened?

It is difficult to see that occurring now, but that was the fear I had when I took those terrible losses. I thought, "This is the end". And time and again we have seen that it is not the end.
