Outrageous: Worst of America /Article

Quote from the1:

I did the exact same thing. I saved $15 per week cutting grass and then the old man took me out on the job site when I was 16 swinging a hammer. I saved $8000 and paid for my first two years of college in cash. Then I bought a car -- a used car. A 1975 Pontiac Grand Prix. Damn, that thing sucked gas. I bought my gas with cash and borrowed money off the folks on a regular basis. Ohhhh....the good old days!

My father bought me a used 1966 Plymouth "Fury lll" for $500. This was in 1969 or so. I paid him $5 bucks a week until it was paid off.

I grew up in a smaller southern town. The only jobs for 16 year old's were in construction and I was happy to get those.

I got lucky one summer and got a job with an Ironworking crew putting up a factory. $5.50 per hour plus standard 60 hour weeks. 10 hours a day, Monday through Saturday. Sometimes Sunday too. With 1.5 overtime I was raking it in. I paid for the whole next years school, room, board etc with it.

Glad to see B Ob is putting curbs on the gambling banks. They can't be trusted to know even their own business properly.

Who ever heard of lending ( giving ? ) money to people who had no hope of ever repaying it.

I expect they will take a break until the dust settles a bit on huge pay-offs

They should be stripped of their unethical gains imho
