If you are a reader and like sci-fi, check Issac Asimov and his Foundation Series. It will take you a year to get thru it. It is fifteen books long. It is fun and engaging.

If that is not your thing, Rise and Fall of Roman Empire will suffice.

India and China are on deck, and they go out just like we did, until we establish a United Earth and engage in First Contact.
