I am certainly not going to take advice from Marketsurfer as he does not even show us raw data on which the findings are based on. Everybody knows on ET that Marketsurfer's trading skills are very average. If he was to be a very skillful trader, then sure, I and others would pay attention.

some strategies you cant put an actual stop in the market. what about if you are making a market. I have seen pnl based stops used successfully. this does sound like a case of 'all or nothing' thinking.

No, you just demonstrate that you have ZERO knowledge what a study means.
If you dont believe his study, then there are at least 3 more similar studies who say the same. So what now?
It's nobody else's fault than your own if you don't grasp the most simplest and obvious things in the world, like in this case...
