Go back and read the "really" old posts. Nobody fears their power more than me. Look at SAC Capitals post about a double bottom. I was hoping for his sake he was right. You shouldn't fear anybody if you've done nothing wrong. I've discussed my postition many times here in this thread. When I say I "fear" the naked short sellers, please make the distinction, I mean they can move the stock anyway they want. Real money is overwhelmed by fake stock everytime. Not arguable. 9 mill reported short, less than 7 at the Dtcc.
I've thought about starting a Naked Short Thread. Byrne simply picked up the baton. He has said many times that this is not about OVerstock. If you read the posts, listen to the interview, and I doubt you have, you'd realize what this is about.
There is enough information in this thread to make any rational person understand we have a huge problem here. Overstock's fundies were never an issue. These guys are smart. They pick on companies w/warts, or companies so new, they can't get momentum. But we've said that for six months, and you guys crawl out of the woodwork with the same crap every time the moon is full. The fool.com? They have strayed way off it's original mission. They are simple pitchmen for their own crap. They used to say they stood up for the little guy. But the hedgies have so much power, everybody cowtows to them.
You should realize by now I have more than a passive interest in this. That I know a little bit about what's going on. I only post stuff that I know is extremely relevant. There are things going on that PB doesn't know about. Regardless, if you listen to the radio interview, he says very important things. Feds mean RICO. Bennett, Hatch, US Senators, and he didn't mention all on his side. They move like molasses, but when they move, the earth shakes. Rico means some of your heroes are going to be doing the horizonal bop with some very big tatooed men. Even the mob fears Rico.I can't wait. I'm sure the videos will hit the net.
Now if you'd like to debate, get some facts. Make a cogent point. I'm sorry. Make your arguments in rational, well thought out fashion. But give me some facts, please. I'll give you one irrefutable fact. They haven't been able to settle OSTK trades in over 200 and somebusiness days. Do you think that's a bit odd?
Let's settle the trades, then we can discuss the merits of the little internet retailer that could (n't).
And let's be civil. Why sound like you grew up in a bar watchin' mom dance (not that there's anything wrong with that).
Now, your homework. Take a bi-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-ig yellow pad, and draw a line down the middle. You can stay in the thread; there's plenty of information here. On the left, list all the factual information you can find that says there are NAKED shorts. As a subset, list any facts that lead to manipulation of which naked shorting could be a part of. Make notes. Rocker threatened a counter suit that never came. He resigned. Why hasn't there been more press or consternation or condemnation over that.? Byrne 's father mentioned one sentence and it got reams of coverage. On the other side, list all the proof you have things are fine. That's all. And date everythnig, because the list on the left grows everyday. On that left side., put down there have been three death threats against people I know, that I can vouch for. How desparate must they be? No that's not factual. Only my word. Don't put that down. But it's true.
