That Rocker retired speaks volumes ... if there is one thing I've learned, it is to watch what people do, not what they say.

That said, who gives a sh*t about naked shorting. If a stock can be taken out and shot, so be it.

Reminds me of the dialogue from Unforgiven.

Will Money: Well, I guess he oughta armed hisself before he decorated his establishment with my friend. :p

(& don't lecture us about the law flydude - US legal system is farce, all the law money and a good sound bite can buy.)

Back to Rockers retirement c'mon: What short seller is gonna retire with gold north of $600 and Iran pounding the table about nuclear bombs. His departure smells like an exercise in document destruction ...

Phantom shares, overvoting, shares being undeliverable for over a month. Just another day on Wall Street.

OSTK should being paying a dividend. The issuers of these phantom shares will then have a little more to worry about it since it will no longer be free.

Since OSTK doesn't make any money, isn't paying a dividend out of the question? Paying a dividend shows some measure of company health. How about OSTK runs a good company first, then everything else takes care of itself.

Read the Vodiagroup piece. Some 1.2 trillion relieved from pension funds so the Prime Brokers can get bigger houses. Who do you think is going to get those pensions back up to snuff. You! Every company has the right to operate in a fair market place. Then, come what may. But this........????

I saw someplace that there were only 7.4mm shares of OSTK left at the DTC. I've since heard there is less than that. So now, let's say 6mm at the DTC, and 9.7 short. What's the point of having any laws? And everyday, new stocks are added to SHO>
