osc registration requirements

anyone familiar with osc requirements for registration relating to managing OPM? (Ontario)

I believe I'm exempt under a part of the rules, but I'm curious if anyone else has found this as well.
 
Do not know specifically about the state you are in, but I have heard that in Canada, most of the places one has to have CFA level I passed in order to register as an Investment Advisor to manager OPM.

This is unlike the US where there is no CFA-I requirement of any sort.
 
i ahvbe tried in the pas to go this route and i can tell you it is very tedious and expensive. Unless you have deep pockets and plenty of funds, stick to US CTA or equity
