This is a big deal. Media is not giving it its just deserve.
That emergency spillway is not going to hold if CA gets rain Weds-Sunday.

It was a bad design. There should have been a concrete apron all the way down the hill. The wash-out will start out beneath the concrete wall and work backwards,... then the whole wall goes.

Its gonna be a BIG problem. Billions and billions in damage. 1000's of homes are toast.
Watch the weather. Its all up to mother nature.

I was looking at the map, trying to get a topographical feel for the elevations downstream. This thing could literally rival Katrina/Sandy.
Pelosi needs to wake the F up. But for real...unfortunately just like gravity on her face lifts.... she's powerless against mother nature.

CNBC says 75,000 Govt agencies have a say in that dam. Damn! How can there even be 75,000 Govt agencies?! That had to be a mistake.

Oroville, CA is a small, poor area...you can't expect politicians more than 10 years ago to take this hypothetical prediction seriously enough to devote resources and time to it then o_O:confused:

It supplies drinking water to 23M of CA's 39M residents. How much more serious can you get?
If you guys get rain all the rest of this week... you're f'd in a big way. I'm telling ya... this is a BIG deal.
 
They had the money to fix the problem with the emergency spillway during the recent drought but opted to use the money elsewhere because the water level was so low. Blame the locals for this one.

Where's your butt buddy Dealmaker,he should have been all over this.. I just heard they cleared the evacuated residents to go back home.

It looks like the controlled release has dropped the level below that needed for the upcoming storms.
All's well it appears. They got lucky.
