Clearly the mainstream media are the enemies of the people. They are the weaponized communications wing of the democrat party and the far left zealots who support it.
I fully understand how people on the left find this kind of statement alarming or preposterous. Try to get out of your bubble for a second however and see why we feel this way. We understand the importance of a free press, which is why we are so angry. We don't have that in this country any more. Our media more closely resembles the state-controlled media of the USSR. I gave a few examples, but the real issue is most journalists no longer see their job as reporting facts. They see it as shaping opinion and silencing those who disagree. Who is behind this wave of social media censorship? Largely journalists. They find something that offends them then try to whip up the internet mob to force companies to deplatform people, fire them, ruin them, expose them to physical risk from crazies, etc. The entire time they paint themselves as basically equivalent to soldiers storming Normandy Beach under artillery fire because Trump has the temerity to object to ridiculously unfair and biased coverage. They can't even admit that Melania is the most glamorous and stylish First Lady in history. Instead they ignore her or mock her accent. If they are so obviously biased on something so minor, who would ever trust them on anything else?

No you do not. You do not get to pick what is free press. You either have it or you do not. Free press is free to report what ever they deem credible, even if it pisses you off.
No one is denying that. Of course they can print what they want, no matter how ridiculous or biased it is.
But we also have the right to call them out on it. That's when they try to wrap themselves in the First Amendment and call any criticism a dangerous attack, etc.
These are the kinds of people we are talking about. They are despicable and richly deserve all the criticism they get.
