Order confirmation 30 minutes later, Direct access account

I put in a market order to cover 1000 shares.

Order said accepted.
I couldn't cancel it .

I called the broker, they coudn't be reached.
Until 30 minutes later.

The associate saw it, said it was weird, it didn't say executed.
Then after talking to him, the blotter updated.

I am confused. I used auto routing.

Yes . Broker claims it's a bug in their system...

all my other orders worked same day.

I feel like there's something fishy with routing orders

yes, I just didn't like how... my confirm delayed 30 min.

and stock went my way , right when i covered short.

Is this a consistent problem with this broker or is it the first time such a problem has happened ?

If its consistent problem, find a new broker. In contrast, if its the first time such has happen...don't worry about it unless the glitch (system bug) in their trading platform continues again.

Also, did they tell you that this platform bug was impacting other clients too or was it just specific to you and your trade ?

First time.

Did not say affecting other clients.

When it routes it often has a delay in confirmation sometimes a lot longer than choosing NYSE or ARCA.
