You literally should have googled this first.
@tommo , your question was a very reasonable one. And the arrogant, condesending responses you got from the old-timers were typical of the negativity and toxicity i also encountered when i started posting here. Just ignore the keyboard warriors or even better, tell these C U Next Tuesdays where to do.
Now, with regards to answering your question - i use a software called Option Net Explorer. It is not cheap, but i like it.
Im currently travelling around LatAm, so cannot respond too often but if you want to PM me a sample trade then i can model it for you and send you a sceeenshot of the P/L graphs at T+ timescales.
Happy trading.
What the hell are you talking about? I came here to ask a simple question. Looking for a bit of guidance, perhaps a suggestion of software that can calculate it and I just get one line answers which amount to “go figure it out”. I can do that without coming to a so called “community” of helpful like minded people.
For your information I have been a professional futures trader for 15 years and probably made more money from trading than 99% of people here. But in the interest of sharing ideas and learning from one another id like to know more about modelling complex options strategies. A pretty reasonable request I think. Even a template of where to start with an options modelling excel spreadsheet would have been nice if you happened to know of one.
But to take time out your day to write sassy “use excel” “use Google” is pretty pathetic.

I think it can take 8 legs, and if so,that's your best bet..
when he needs 10 legs, what will he do?
using excel is the best option that I know of. I apologize if that wasn’t the answer you were looking for. In the future I will be mindful of the answer you are looking for.
