There was no options market in the US markets from 1934-1970 for a good reason.
and before 1934 many participants didn't honor their options contracts..meaning they don't pay up. if you win. on puts or calls. and not settled. the risk was counter party risk of the other party didn't pay up.

why no options market from 1934-1970 cause it was BANNED.

Does it matter whether it is BS or not? You don’t need to participate.
And since options are regulated and there is no counter party risk then maybe this is the reason they aren’t banned?

Alcohol was also banned and if you think it’s BS then you don’t need to consume it.
Some people think meat is BS and don’t eat it, but it doesn’t mean that it needs to be banned.

Anyway, this looks like BS rant just to rant.
 
Options are an interesting way to redistributing money, nothing more, nothing less, just cause the money flow is generally from the poor to the rich is another issue, but the sometimes the poor just needs hope.

OCC founded coincident to listed calls. No direct counter-party risk. OCC has never failed. Calls + short shares = synthetic puts. Puts listed so CBOE and AMEX have natural puts and calls.

So your point is that they should be banned due to counter-party risk? You're netting to the OCC. We got it... you blew up. Was it because OCC wouldn't pay out on your winners?
