OPTIONS back testing and analysis software

MY apologies for crossposting - I wanted to get comments from this forum also.


I am looking at the increasingly authoritarian measures against SHORT sellers with some degree of
trepidation, and I want to epxplore alternative methods to trade.

First, I'd like to find a program to analyze and back test options: buy- and sell- write,
or at the very least a program to easily identify the potential returns on current stocks/options.
Also, to identify good spreads etc, and options on the popular commodity ETFs like USO.

The inputs would be the options data file, and optimizable parameters.

Please suggest possibilities.
