Option market hours

Why don't they let option markets trade during same hours as equities, such as pre/post market trading? Especially in heavily traded/liquid names. I think some of these premarket trades give an early unfair headstart to the markets, expecially for option traders.

Any thoughts?
 
It would be nice to be able to get out of or enter a position when news hits, but the spreads would kill you. They are bad enough for stocks at those hours, options would be even worse. And a lack of liquidity would just make it messy for the retail trader.

better yet, let's just trade from 8:30 to 3:00 or 3:15
