Option for OP to ban posters from a thread

To be clear, using the ignore function isn't what the problem is. Its claiming someone you - yourself - have put on ignore needs their safe space that makes it funny.

Besides, it's not like you don't have folks on ignore yourself ... securing your own little safe space.

How about giving the OP the option to ban someone from posting on their thread? And/or ability to delete unwanted posts.

By giving the OP the ability to manage the content of their own threads it should lessen the burden on ET administration to deal with trolls. I'm sure there are many threads where OPs have stopped posting due to unwanted content.

The only downside I can see to this is that some people would be banned from posting for wrong reasons, perhaps simply stating an opposing view to the OP....but is this really a bad thing? If content is not wanted by the OP, it would be nice to be allowed to restrict it.

And I respect you for that. We may vehemently disagree on certain issues and you can ignore my posts at your discretion. But you don't pretend other opinions don't exist. I had @Here4money on ignore before because of the constant falsehoods he posted, but removed him (and all others aside trolls) from ignore because I like to know where the other side stands and moves to. Without hope we can as well nuke each other.

He acts all high and mighty, but he did have me on ignore originally. Then one day he pulled it off and, because I liked it better when he had me on ignore, I put him on ignore
