Option exchange for us stocks with low latency trading via IB

I usually route to EMERALD but the amend order latency is killing me. Does anyone have experience using other option exchanges that are faster to respond even when trading through IB?

If only there were an ability to select the best route automatically! Like, in a Smart fashion.
Someone should take this up with IB.....

I can't answer about latency through IB, but IMO Emerald is not a good choice in terms of quality of fills. If you wanted a single exchange to route, CBOE would probably be your best choice in terms of fills.

My option fills at IB are so fast, I get my fills before I put my order in! Seriously, I have yet to have a issue using smart routing.

it also means you are too slow to amend or cancel orders you don't want hit.
