Yes. We write automated systems to handle the upteen markets we watch. The computer does this for us - imagine that ! Moreover, when a change relevant to our model occurs, it updates a single screen.
So, if someone tells me that they absolutely need 6 monitors to do their work I only allow it if they provide a strategy to make me understand their automation solution for future implementation.
Now of course some of these people think that more monitors impresses people but people that are impressed by a lot of monitors are probably not the folks on which you need to be concentrating your efforts ....
What ! only 16 ! Surely YOU dont trade. I'm afraid nobody would be impressed with such a low investment and uncluttered trading room
Instead of multiple monitors, I like to keep it simple and trade on one giant IMAX screen. You kinda get neck cramps after a little while but you sure dont run out of room for charts and stuff.
actually its not ..... There are numerous studies that show that nearly everyone loses the ability to track more than 4 things at once: with the ability showing a marked decrease from three to four. After four, things really go downhill fast.
