How do these free browsers (Opera, Firefox, etc.) make money? just wondering.

firefox is owned by a foundation.

Opera sells browsers for other platforms. For example Nintendo's products (Wii, DS) have a version of opera based on the PC version technology.

i dont like opera that much. as a mac user camino is unbeatable in term of speed, even better than safari.
