Opening Orders - 2009

5 fills, all short, 4 winners, 1 loser, +0.04 average.
Larger on longs.
Nothing really I could do on TCK. In 20.26, out 20.39.
Tough month. Can't get that one day...
 
Does anyone places a filter to make sure they dont short into a new xx days high?
This is what I did on TCK so I'm thinking of implementing this filter.
 
Mike, attached is a distribution of my $/share. This is pre trade, not per day. You can see that you need a lot of small wins for the average to stay above 0. There are not that many home runs. Yes, extreme losses can come. This is all my history so it includes all the war stories. I think it's better to have a lot of small wins than to try to hit for the fence. Maybe other traders could comment.
Average is about 0.04.

Thanks for the tip, I think the stategy is dead for the time being, i am just playing 100 shares to see if it comes back again and i can start build up. I will probbaly add all the stocks i stopped playing on and start with 200 stocks and dwindle it to 80 good ones over the next few months.
