Opening Orders - 2008

i had to do a quick cancel on my dow baskets this morning so unfortunatly i ended up cancelling my opening orders as i had to do a cancel all....

indications came out negative instead of the positive pre market trade and i had to reverse on a dime...

so needless to say the timing could not have been worse...

i had one fill ...pep...+495.00...tltc...

would have been awesome...even with my currently reduced size...system said:

23 fills / 21 long / 2 short / 22000 shares / 5000.00 plus...

at least i covered my dow futures for a profit....

I was cautious, went in half size. Made $1200. Gotta go watch the traders for a while.

Had lots of stocks pulled for news, and cut my size in half.

3 long wins, although 2 unfortunately were on tiny test positions, +183

blocked some...didn't quite know if it would make a difference or not...

widened my envelopes to twice their size...

+/- 1% 1.5% and 2%

8 fills / 8 longs / + 1179.00

9500 shares

+25K playing SUPER SUPER conservative. Could have been a 6 fig day easy.

But my first goal was to stay employed as a trader today.

Got behind in my morning prep and didn't get any orders in. Most of my roster was blocked on news, and it looks like I wouldn't have gotten filled on the few I had left.
