I believe only members see pre-market orders and proposed markets for the open, but you can participate on the opening prices by entering an opening only order to the exchange. You just don't know what there.
I actually thought of that. Do you know if IB would route orders to the open auction or keep them until open? (I know the obvious thing is to ask IB, but still, in case someone already has the answer...)
