Opening a trading office where each man is for themselves

I have been day trading for quite some time now. I am looking to share an office with individual experienced equitie traders. No one would be making money off anyone. Everyone will come in with there own trading account (IB, Lightspeed, ameritrade etc)...All expenses like rent, electricity would be split evenly..The purpose of this would be to trade with other experienced traders where we will help each other out. Different from a prop shop where they are in it to make money off of us. Here there is no "evil" intent, no one is capitalizing off anyone. Looking to do this in the NY area. Manhattan, Westchester, Bronx- whatever makes the most sense..Looking for around 5-10 at most traders...Anyone interested?
 
There was a firm in NYC that offered this. It was trading offices for independent traders/trading groups. THe company tried to make money by having a term lease and then offering month to month leases at a higher rate. They offered aeron chairs and flat panel tvs with cnbc feeds; as well as high speed durable internet connections.

It failed and now this office space is being marketed as general purpose shared office space.
 
Just search for a desk space in a shared office near where you live. It is good to talk to people who don't trade and get out of the house. Then let other traders know where you are.

This will NEVER work with traders. Traders are very unreliable. You have to get a lease and someone's name is going to be on it. Whose. Yours? Really? You are going to go to bat for these guys? And no, some building management company is not going to let you put 6 names on the lease like it's a college dorm room. Someone has to own the risk. And when these traders blow out and leave, you are left holding the bag.

You need to find a general office sharing space where you have attorney's, accountants, IT guys, just general people with real businesses who make real money.

And doing this out in some burb in Jersey is not going to fly either. Now you need to find guys "specific" to just that area that meet all the other criteria. Most people want to get an office to get AWAY from the burb they live in. That's the draw, to socialize and have a more productive networking environment. Not to share an office over a hardware store in Briarcliff, NJ.

Your best bet is to talk to the clearing firms next to the old Amex building and see what you can do to rent space there and open an account with the clearing firm directly.
 
Wow lot's of helpful responses. I guess I will go to a local Regus or Stark in (Westchester). I am not sure who to be more wary of those who post infrequently as they must assuredly be "losers" or the others who post ~5000 times or even 17000 times though Maverick was attempting to be helpful.

I live in the "burbs", and want a class A office space in the burbs which I had until a year ago when the real estate guys I was sharing (their lease) blew up.
