Open source trading software

I am looking for leads on Open source trading software, free software is ok but I am looking for a company that has a decent product from the start.

What I am looking for is a reasonable base for my own software, but I dont want to be starting from scratch, and if updates become available down the road then even better

Don't know if this is open source but it's the best looking financial software out there.

For reasons passing understanding most financial software looks like it was programmed using Windows 3.1.

Trader's workbench looks very cool from its screenshots. Let me know if you can get a copy of it.

how do i get a copy of this. I am a programmer too and have build a similar tool. But since yours looks better, I can contribure towards it in terms of development efforts to add more features.
