Hi,
I try to find some relevant data about volumes during
from before and after launch of eletronic trading Globex, or from other exchanges.
 
Last time I checked... while the pit-traded SP500 contract is 5x the size of the ES, the daily dollar volume traded on the ES is >10x the dollar volume in the pit.

Not sure why the pit contract is still around (if it even is... has been a while since I checked).
