Open multiple charts in TWS

I like TWS more and more and use it a lot as charting software. In TWS I can open two charts for different tickers, but when I place an order, the two charts will be changed to the ticker I'm about to trade. There is no way I can open two different charts and trade one of them, e.g. if I open two charts for es and spy respectively, when I start to place an order for spy (or even click on spy on watch lists), both charts will be changed to spy.

Any ideas?
 
You need to correctly link the chart to the order entry screen. TWS does it through color codes. You can find the chosen color coding of each TWS window at the top right. When the color codes of the order entry screen match with the one of your chart window then each time you click on a symbol on your order entry screen the chart will update and load the data for that particular symbol.

So, to keep the ES chart unchanged, simply pick a different color on the top right of that specific chart to de-link from the order entry window (or choose "No Group"). => Problem solved.

In the top right of the chart click on the down arrow between the wrench and the maximise box. Set the group windows colour to no groups then it will not change when you click on something else.
