Open E Cry acquired by optionsXpress

Hopefully their acquisition will allow OEC to offer access to more exchanges as they have said they intended to do for quite a while now -

"In an effort to expand global direct access and enhance our position as the leader in global futures trading, Open E Cry LLC will be releasing direct connections to the following exchanges in Q3 2007:

* LIFFE – London and all sub components including:
o Paris
o Amsterdam
* SGX – Singapore
* SFE – Sydney
* HKFE – Hong Kong
* DME - Dubai
"

This probably never happened because they were trying to sell the company and not break anything in the process.

I agree that only time will tell how this works out...
