Obv ET has a journal section, but the site may benefit from a self-moderated journal forum known from the outset that the OP can moderate troll posts, but not remove their own posts past the edit/delete limit.

Self-moderation is a huge caveat, so the traffic will be nil unless the content is well above-average.
 
This would most likely be net positive for ET.

Believe it or not, some people really do have an aversion to confrontation. Anything to better accommodate this group is likely to increase the diversity and overall quality of content.
