Considering the virus is now a total non issue for the vast majority, does the government really need to require a trucker crossing the border to drop off load that he be vaccinated? The virus is absolutely everywhere, and yet we are worried if a few truckers cross the border with it?

Its absolute madness what the government is doing. How else do the people fight? This is so far very peaceful. If government workers were losing pay, you can bet the vaccine mandates and restrictions would have ended a long time ago.

Don't get vaccinated then but don't make all citizens hostages from you.There is no need to block cities for weeks. All people have rights, you cannot speak about YOUR rights and ruine the rights of other people. All people's rights should be preserved.

Then don't get vaccinated and deal with the consequences if you lose your job as trucker. You are free not to get vaccinated, and the govenment is free to forbid you to cross the border. Both parties have their own reasons. And the government surely does not agree with your opinion that the virus is now a total non issue for the vast majority.

That only applies when it's their side doing the protesting, looting, burning down cities, occupying entire city blocks, and ambushing/ assassinating police officers. Those peaceful protest are considered okay.

That is what they are protesting. They feel (and I do) that it is unjust for the government to impose such coercive measures on a person. Who was the political group advocating my body my choice? Governments do not have the right to impose irreversible medical procedures with unknown long-term risks on people as a condition of employment. They have a right to protest that. Although I agree with you that they don't have a right to block roads and should face the consequences for breaking laws. But then that also applies to the BLM riots and looting. Property rights also need to be defended, but the left looks the other way and even encourages that case.

I've been vaccinated a d gotten the booster, and I completely agree. If they are so secure in the vaccines effectiveness then why are they so concerned with those who are taking the risk of catching Covid by not taking it? The vaccine is either effective or it is not. If a person is willing to take the risk of catching it upon themselves then that is their choice.

Perhaps the death rate would be far far lower if 3 Democratic governors had not sentenced the nursing home victims to death by stuffing infected in there with them at the outset. Amazing how the (political) science suddenly has Democrats reversing mandates so conveniently before midterms. What happened to being so vehemently about following the science at all cost? It just proves this entire charade was all political theater by the Democrats.
 
Oh well. Come what may, I haven't seen this much drama/hoopla in Ontario since the G-20 summit riots in Toronto. I mean, bailing out the banks and then holding that summit in 2010 was sort of waving a red-flag in the face of the taxpayers.

I must be getting old, I still remember this like yesterday...
