Only Six People Signed Up for Obamacare on First Day

A new report by CBS News reveals that an internal memo from the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services the day after the Obamacare website launched says that only six people signed up for the health care program on its first day, even as administration officials were touting millions of website visitors.

Six? It's more popular than i thought.

Seems like there were estimates of 51,000 signers for the first day. Estimates are only off by 8500 times.

So much for the huge demand for Obamacare!

I expect that many of the people visiting the site ("the hits") on the first day were the media who simply were looking for press material.

Just read an article saying it's a good thing the website was and is not up to speed. Saves the consumer from impulse buying. Got to give these guys credit. They know how to put the shine on any turd.

Call it what you like, but it's true that no one thinks the Obamacare website launch went well. You're preaching to the choir.

So is the fact that only six people signed up on the first day due to the website being so bad or the lack of demand.

Remember, experts stated that even with the website faults - it should have allowed 50,000 people to complete enrollment on the first day easily.

This is a lack of demand situation.
