I don't really blame these people. The class was some sort of ridiculous black culture class apparently. They are tired of white liberals patronizing them. Plus, they want the jobs for black teachers.

The real issue here is that a lot of blacks don't value integration as highly as white liberals thnk they should. They are more comfortable not having to interact with whites. Of course, white liberals would never admit it, but they feel the same way. That's why they will make enormous sacrifices to keep their own kids out of urban public schools.
