According to the Washington Post since the election of Donald Trump OAN has become pro-Trump in coverage and a favorite news source for the President. The founder of OAN is Charles Herring who has said “Fox News has done a great job serving the center-right and independent audiences…But those who consider themselves liberal have a half dozen or more choices on TV each day from which to get their news.” OAN has been criticized for biased content that favors Donald Trump.

Because it is a weak virus and is not a huge threat to the general population. However government response is a massive threat to all of us.
This I do agree with. The response was let's make this a political issue and remove any common sense or thoughtful scientific discovery tell us what to do. Again a mask and some social distancing would make everyone a bit safer, and really isn't a huge inconvenience. I think businesses could have stayed open and we could have kept operating as a country except the media and the political parties turned it into a stupid fest.

Our governor is threatening to lock us down again ...
We are at 6.5 cases per 100,000 and we get locked down at 7.
but... we are only using 332 beds for covid patients.
We have 6000 rooms for patients and 1500 are open.

The issue for me is that old people and those with co morbidities are getting sick and some are still dying.

Isn't it time we tell those who are in the high risk group they have to protect themselves better because masks are not protecting them enough?

Businesses could have stayed open IF the public were smart about it. People aren't being smart about it--therefore the mandates.
Hospitals should not be allowed to reach full capacity. It they are reaching full capacity due to irresponsible behavior of the public; then that problem needs to be solved. Anyone with a better solution than lockdowns ... do tell.
Our politicians are behaving the way they believe their supporters want them to. Trump is a clown because that's what his supporters want. Same with congressmen--they all do, publicly, what they think their constituents want.
This has become political because people can't seem to wear masks, or distance, without being forced to. That's why it has become political. The people reluctant to wear masks made it seem political.
Trump wasn't the problem. The people that put him in office are the problem.
Politicians don't cause lockdowns; people that do stupid shit during a pandemic cause lockdowns.
Trump is gone, but he wasn't the real problem. Stupid was/is the real problem.
And stupid is looking for an appropriate candidate for 2024.

That is what it comes down to. Good summation, in my opinion. I left out previously is wash your hands after you go somewhere, or have the alcohol gel in the car. Again simple stuff, and the inability of us humans to do simple obvious things until we get a better handle on this really beats me up. Yes, a lot of the people have underlying conditions, like my wife who has an issue with her lungs. She works in a hospital loaded with Covid, goes shopping, but takes precautions, and myself and our sons do the same. So far the very simple and easy precautions haven't killed or injured us, nor has Covid.
Jem, we are in a suburb of Milwaukee and the hospital where they work is in an adjacent county.
