Only 1 Futures Daytrade per day: $200-$1,000 profit goal per day

Yes, revenge trading is a big problem. I have decided on 1 trade per time period, and if in the morning I have lost money to wait till the next time period to trade.

something I am struggling with is this...if my first trade of the day is a losing trade...I usually "revenge" trade to get profits back...OR...second greatest struggle...having pretty good profits and then ...GOING for more but should have just booked profits...and end up losing for the day...

Question:anyone stuggle with the "first trade is a losing trade"...which leads to more losing trades...issue?

OR...lose more becuase trying to gain more?...

very thankful for my HUGE Brent trade today or would have been HUGE loss...I am trying to learn and "tweak" all these things...I want to get in my thinking..."Hey, a winning day of $5 is better than any losing day ever"...hence for me...4 wonderful winning days in a row...comments?

hey there..please do explain more your 1 trade per time period strategy...what is defined as a time period?...meaning 9:30-10:30am new york time etc...thanks

has anyone ever felt like crossing a $$$ level threshold in their account would be key...in that it would be more "relaxing" to trade with that much in their account...I am about to cross a $$$ threshold in my account that I believe is key...whether it is:

$3,000
$5,000
$7,000
$10,000
$15,000
$20,000...differnent levels give a different sense of "confidence" when you hit them in your trading account...thoughts?

not really a "concrete method" in the sense of all must line up to take a trade...right now...want to get to that point...for right now, I trade heavily off of signs of weakness or strengths in a market and follow the flow...wait for mild retraces/pullbacks from initial trend and then continuations in the big trend...also view intraday support and resistance..thanks!

Well whatever works for you. Thats what counts.

I agree with The Swordsman. You should change the Name to "All I want to do is keep trading until I make a few dollars each day or until I blow up."

I trade what I feel comfortable with. By the way, stock is already future. As you may remarked that when a company reported its quarterly result with big earning but its stock price went down. Why? Because the outlook (future earning, not the current earning) is bleak.

Quote from increasenow:

hmmm..interesting...so you daytrade NYSE stocks...I would imagine that takes a HUGE amount of $$$ Cash-O-la...do you trade futures?..ever trade futures?...like to trade futures????why stocks only???

IncreaseNow,

Take his advice seriously. He wasn't kidding.

I want to make 1 highly profitable trade per day and make $200-$1,000 per day

Will trade:

1 contract of DAX
1-2 contract of FTSE
1-10 contracts of YM....

thoughts?

Porgie, you are well aware that this is not the correct mindset to employ. Thank you for your time.

ONLY TOOK 1 TRADE TODAY!!!!!....

Does anyone "HIGH SPEED" trade the CL, QM or ICE Brent Crude Oil?

...I am very thankful to have netted $440.00 USD in 1 ICE Brent Crude Oil trade today (July 31)...the trade took approx :25 seconds...no hype or anything...very thankful for the profit...

It seems as if the best contracts to HIGH SPEED trade per 1 contract are CL and ICE Brent Crude Oil...and perhaps the DAX?(not sure about the QM mini Crude Oil)...

Thoughts and experiences?...also a preffered timeframe to do this?

Go for your dreams, but I've made a lot of CL trades, many go against you for no reason that anyone will ever figure of. High speed taketh what it giveth. You should explain at least to yourself why that trade worked. If you cna post that reason, even better. If you cna state why, then you didn't know why you chose the entry and didn't trail to the maximum profit.

Be careful out there, the number of contracts are thinning out and 50 cent changes happen in just a few prints.
