You don't need to pay so much for it. There a lot of other venue you can brush up on different strategies (free online webinars and blogs), you can meet other traders in your local traders' meetups.
I took the course a few years back to brush up, yes it's a bit pricey for a couple of stratgies you can find in a book or an online seminar. However for most it's insane to try to start trading, without the basic knowledge, being a former broker I can say most people with no real market expertise do the exact opposit of what a trader should do. like buy at the low of day, cut winners hold losers, watch CNBC etc.
This is my last response for people serious about trading. No organization is going to be able to guarantee your success. I as a lawyer was very careful when I went to OTA. Make no mistake about it OTA is a for profit business. But let me tell you my path.
I went to a half-day workshop to find out about trading. I knew absolutely nothing really about the markets. Little did I know that this would be one of my biggest advantages. 90% of traders are trading incorrectly. In the legal profession I would notice lawyers who had been practicing for 25 years but they were really repeating year 1 over and over.
Thus, don't be simply impressed by traders who say they have been trading for a long period of time; most of these traders have years of bad habits. At OTA you are going to struggle to become a profitable trader like every other trader in history has struggled. If you are profitable after like 3 months of trading more than likely you are lucky and risking too much money.
I see students at OTA get the correct training and then do the complete opposite. This is because the human mind is not geared to trade properly at the beginning. So when you have people online ask students are they profitable.....provide your statements blah blah blah (and if you did.....they would say they are forged) it's a loaded question.
OTa has former fund managers, floor traders, etc. who teach the classes part-time and actively trade. If you don't believe it....go to powertradingradio.com call in when the instructors are on the show and have the balls to call them scammers are non-traders.
You can't teach at OTA unless you trade. An active student actually just became an instructor by providing proof of their sheets. But back to the instructors, these guys were mentored by millionaire pit bosses in Chicago a lot of them. These guys said they "fought" their training also. Meaning doing the opposite of what they are supposed to do.
So their are students at OTA who won't make it no matter their teaching because they can't beat their worse enemy.....themselves. Human nature is to blame somebody else and not yourself. Being a profitable trader is an elite class of traders worldwide.

Most of these traders teach......out of ego......and the power.......just as good as money. They get to travel worldwide all over the world for free....building their name brand. So when people imply that why wouldn't you just trade......it's because trading is in the dark. Nobody knows "HOw good you are." Traders are like athletes and gladiators.....we won't people to know we are good....some of us.
And some teachers teach just to give back.....but I feel a thrill when I am know able to give new traders tips. People are so hypocritical it's ridiculous.
YOu ask "Why Teach" well why wouldn't your next question be "Why is their Elite Trader?" You don't hear the haters ask people on here who give advice (I"m never on here so I don't know the names) why are they posting trying to give advice?
It's because teaching can be Juice! But I definitely don't want to teach.
But I eventually joined OTA about a year later and fought what i was taught and fought writing a trading plan. All of this is in the evolution of a trader. I eventually became profitable after blowing an account about a 9 months later and being in the XLT program.
Now I am a Diamond PassPort member....the works.....they guy who initially joined Elite trader because I wanted to be a trader for free. People tell you that you can be a professional trader by going to some websites by just paying your tuition to the Market.....YOu Fool....lol..........Wall Street needs people like you. Perpetual Suckers. Why haven't those fools provided you the websites that make this so easy. Why do you need elite trader if it's all on the Web! That Bs you read in books does not work at all....the only good trading books to read.....are about the trader mindset.
In closing, stay away from this site for advice. Most of the people who always yell scam really are people who can't afford to pay the money. That's the reality of life. They can't afford it....so they have to trash it. But if you can't afford to learn the right way....Why are you trading anyway?

And XLT is lifetime also.....I damn sure didn't want to spend the money on XLT. But here I am now with the works.

But do these three things :
1. Find out whether you really want to trade and do you have the discipline for a long journey.
2. Make sure you have the money to learn properly or come back when you do.
3. Do your due diligence on any method of learning you choose to take you.
