You know I am a huge fan of NoDoJi. I sometime PMed her with dumb questions. I have been reading her journal even since Redneck Trader recommended to me! She is so brilliant and talented! And her written is witty and smart too. Unfortunately She closed the tread. I hope to see her jounal again!

I've been registered on here for about two years and never log in. But I seen these questions about "OTA" and people who tell you that you don't "learn yourself." If you believe you can learn trading yourself you are an idiot aka "dumb money." No consistently profitable trader would even be on Elite Trader trying to learn how to trade.

I'm a lawyer who is a graduate of OTA forex course and XLT. Any fool who is telling you that the stuff taught by OTA is basic.....is an idiot. There is no way to learn how to trade by reading a books. Pros don't use indicators, oscillators, or memorize candlestick chart patterns. Pros trade like institutional traders using supply, demand, and order flow.

There is more to being a profitable trader than education.........it's also the mental which is 100% of the game. You see some fool like Trader Zones saying that another's person's post doesn't mean anything without providing broker statements. Tell Traders Zones to kiss your A$$. I've made so much money because of OTA and I finally made it over the hump after a year of trading.

Would you think you could become a Doctor, Lawyer, or ride a motorcycle by reading a book? Being on Elite Trader means that you are dumb money not willing to invest seriously in your education. YOu think that you will become one the 9% who actually make it trading by listening to some fools on Elite Trader.

If you don't like what I'm saying F* you and your momma. But it makes me mad to hear some idiots who have never attended OTA speaking on what OTA is about. It's easy to see why people never make it.

But if you ever want to be successful at trading.........leave this website. Don't let people who have been on this site tell you about trading. This is just a dumb money pit.....where other idiots try to rule lesser idiots.

I personally hope you don't go to OTA so you will stay an idiot lining the pockets of professional traders.

OTA can only give you the tools.....it's up to you if you succeed. Some go to OTA but they refuse to obey the rules and they fail. Then they blame OTA. The longer you have been trading without education.....the harder it will be for you to be profitable.

OTA has a terrible reputation. Including OTA employees like this poster, who go to many sites and put up fake reviews, pretending to be a satisfied graduate.

I do not work for ota. But I am a happy graduate. And post graduate in their xlt program. Both The courses are excellent.

At first I didn't think the xlt was a benefit to me. But I started to realize that it is
Awesome for me for When I hit a rough time in trading, as simply hearing things from another perspective is incredibly helpful.

Clearly- trading is along journey for anyone and everyone trying to take it on, but if there is a better resource to learn trading from, I'd love to hear about it. Unlike all those who bash everyone online, I do have an open mind.

I would find it very hard to believe that anyone has been trading and making consistent money by reading a few books.

Without any foundation, you will not realize this.

So For anyone who doesn't have 5,000 to spend on the class, you shouldnt be trading anyway. Trading isn't a game or get rich quick scheme.

The testimonials on the website are real, so check it out.
If not please let me know where u got ur education. I would like to learn futures trading next. I will be signing up for the next class at ota on futures in sept.
 
I have seen most of the Free stuff that OTA provides for prospective students. There is nothing there that I wasn’t already aware of.

Can you be a little more specific as to what you felt was worth the $5000 to you? What did you learn that couldn’t be found in books and a lot of screen time?

What are you doing different now than you did before attending OTA? How much of that is common sense?

I’d hate to spend $5000 and find that I already know the material they offer.
 
The former owner of OTA in Houston spent most if not all of his time belittling other trading schools and proclaiming their illegitimacy. According to OTA all trading schools are a scam except OTA. Even their television commercials landed them in court defending themselves from defamation law suits.

I listened to the owner on several occasions do nothing but bash others. He did not have enough success stories of his own to show case. Finally this guy dug himself a whole big enough he could not dig himself out of and he sold out.

I personally know 3 people that went to OTA and after 2 weeks discontinued using their techniques. Just watching this outfit operate was a great lesson on what not to do.

The big problem w/ these sort of operations is that it's just a bad business model. It's not like making hamburgers and running a real biz. trading is closer to playing poker for a living than having a steady job.. It's a roller coaster w/ bad patches. Very draining emotionally especially for newbies w/ limited capital who are not equipped with the right mentality. These so called educators make it sound like a steady business after learning some techniques like technical analysis. NOT!!! Bottom line - trading for capital gains as income is a bitch at times.

There are three proven trading biz. 1) commissioned broker, 2) fee advisors (running money for others is outstanding), 3) dream merchant.
