I personally know 3 people that have gone to OTA. All three of them discontinued using the techniques taught to them by OTA within 2 weeks. None of them made money or believe the training was any good or worth it.

IC. It really depends on personality and if that person has a passion for it... Its just like a career path, whether you are willing to pursue with all your love and energy. Only a few people can walk towards the end with success...

I know I am willing to contribute my time and efforts now to this "future career" I pursue. Trading somehow becomes my passion and hobby now (even though it has broken my heart and bank:-P). I am not the smartest person in the world. But I still believe I can do it. Probably not make a million dollars a year in the future, but maybe a thousand a month can already make me happy and feel rewarding! But now, I just want to feel comfortable and confidence to trade. I am not willing to contribute any money. I hope people in my class can do the same too....

Back to your comments, That's why I think OTA needs to screen some students first. If they didn't know how tough this business is or if that will be a suit for them, how can they keep continue to do so. On top of that, they have already paid 5k....
 
Two out of three of these guys were very experienced traders. They quit trading OTA principles because they did not work. One of them thought the software OTA was hyping for a trading platform was not adequate. I know the inexperienced trader in the group went on to develop a trading program using Vector Vest that was far superior to what OTA was hyping.

In trading you leave your 'smarts' at the door...commonsense prevails...

Speaking of other people in your class...do you or are you allowed to contact them by email or any other means to review each others progress etc?

Screening potential clients...NEVER going to happpen as they are only interested in 5k being credited to their bank...
